Home School Legal Defense Association is a nonprofit advocacy organization established to defend and advance the constitutional right of parents to direct the education of their children and to protect family freedoms. Through annual memberships, HSLDA is tens of thousands of families united in service together, providing a strong voice when and where needed.

HSLDA also helps promote homeschooling on a daily basis by providing guidance via their website

 

 

The Home Education League of Michigan is an advocacy group for the polical interests of homeschoolers. Their most visible function is the annual Homeschool Family Day at the Capitol which has brought as many as one thousand homeschooled children and parents to Lansing to allow them to learn about the way our state government is run. In addition, HELM issues periodic mailings when potentially harmful legislation is being considered in Lansing. As Thomas Jefferson said: "The price of freedom is eternal vigilance."

 

 

INCH stands for Information Network for Christian Homes

Since 1984 their mission has been to serve families interested in or involved in home education by providing the information, resources and encouragement needed to teach children at home in the state of Michigan, and to work to insure the continued freedom to do so.

 

 

This site seems endless!  Anne Ziese has put together an all-inclusive homeschool site. Here you can find information about everything homeschool.  It's a great place to get general information about homeschooling, delivered in a series of blog entries. 

 

You should request one of these catelogs just to spend some time being amazed at all the resources that are available. Their mission is:  "In business since 1989, it is our mission to provide the best educational products to homeschoolers, parents, and educators at the lowest prices we can offer. We currently carry over 40,000 quality educational products in all subject areas, for grades PK-12 and beyond! In addition to our great prices, you can count on us for these 'perks' as well."

 

   This family picnic is open to all who are interested in connecting to the Christian homeschool community in the Kalamazoo area. It is generally held in early August. For more information click here.

KAHSA hosts a one-day conference to provide information to homeschoolers in the Kalamazoo area via speakers and vendors.
